UP Assembly Election Results|Stock Market Report Today|Nifty Outlook For Tomorrow 7 March:- Leaving an early setback, both big benchmarks NSE BSE presented a smart rally this morning. But it lost gains and slipped deeper into the negative zone as the session progressed. This happened because of weak global cues and investors indulged in some heavy selling. A poor show by the Congress Party in the U.P. Assembly election too contributed to the slide to an extent. SP has won U.P. Mulayam Singh's Samajwadi Party has taken a complete majority by defeating BSP, BJP and Congress.
In today's trade Metal & Power remained biggest losing sectors. The Sensex ended at 17173, down 190 points and the Nifty closed at 5222, down 58 points. The top performers at Nifty were DLF, Siemens, ITC and Mahindra & Mahindra while the biggest losers remained Reliance Power, Tata Steel, Hindalco and Reliance Infra.
