Due to weak global cues both the benchmarks NSE BSE closed on a negative note with substantial losses. All the sectors closed in loss. Reality and Banking were among the worst performers of today's trade. They were followed by IT, Metal, FMCG and Capital Goods.
The Sensex closed at 18110, down 204 points and the Nifty closed at 5456, down 60 points.
NSE Gainers of today's trade were: Reliance Industries, Cipla, NTPC, ONGC, Kotak Mahindra.
