In today's trade best performing sector was Auto and it was followed by Reality, Banking & Fertilizers Stocks.Only Oil & Gas with FMCG closed with moderate losses.
The Sensex closed at 17130, up 273 points and the Nifty closed at 5161, up 88 points from their previous closes.
Top NSE-BSE gainers of today's trade were: Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, SAIL, Hindalco, Chambal Fertilizers, Rashtriya Chemicals, National Fertilisers, Jubilant Foodworks Ltd., DLF.
